Terms
Terms of use
Draft — needs a lawyer's eye before launch. Polar will want a terms page to exist; this is the substance it should carry.
The licence
Either purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Ocelo on up to 3 Macs that you own or control — perpetually with the one-off licence, or for as long as the subscription is active. You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute the app or your licence key.
Using it without paying
You may use Ocelo without buying a licence, indefinitely and for commercial work. In that mode clean exports are limited to 720p and 60 seconds. Recording, editing and every feature are otherwise unrestricted.
What you make with it
Your recordings are yours. We claim no rights over anything you produce with the app, and no rights over the material you record.
Billing
Two options, both charged by Polar as merchant of record, with applicable tax added at checkout and shown before you pay:
- $79 once — a perpetual licence for version 1. It does not renew and cannot expire. It includes updates to version 1 for as long as version 1 is maintained; a future major version may be a paid upgrade, and if it is, your existing licence keeps working regardless.
- $24 a year — renews automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the term already paid for.
Refunds
Email hola@ocelo.app within 14 days of a charge and it will be refunded without argument. Refunds are issued by Polar.
Availability
The app runs on your Mac and does not need us to be online to work. Licence checks do; if they cannot reach the network the app keeps working and retries later, so an outage on our side does not stop you recording.
No warranty
The app is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending it
You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account portal. We may end a licence for non-payment, or for redistributing the app or a key — in which case we refund the unused part of a subscription term, or a proportionate part of a one-off licence bought within the previous year.
